Let’s go Shrine Hopping!

7:00 am – Depart HGA
1st Stop - Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark, New Jersey - built on the highest peak in Newark, the French Gothic Cathedral covers 45,000 square feet, an area equal to that of London’s Westminster Abbey.
2nd Stop - St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Shrine in NYC – A pilgrimage to St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Shrine offers a powerful spiritual experience and the opportunity for peaceful prayer in a sacred space. A perfect follow up if you’ve seen the CABRINI movie to learn more about Mother Cabrini, the patron saint of immigrants and the first American citizen to be canonized as a saint.
Lunch (Included) – On the grounds of the St. Frances Cabrini Shrine
3rd Stop - Basilica of St. Patrick's Old Cathedral, the original Cathedral Church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York. The tour will include the catacombs, church, and cemetery.
4th Stop - St. Patrick’s Cathedral - the seat of the Archbishop of New York as well as a parish church. The cathedral occupies an entire city block and is the largest Gothic Revival Catholic cathedral in North America.
Dinner (on your own)
7:00 - Depart NYC
10:00 pm (approximate) – return to HGA
The cost for this amazing day is just $120 per person which includes transportation, tour tickets for each stop, and lunch.

Completed forms with payment may be mailed to or dropped off at the Rectory or placed in the collection basket in an envelope marked, “Shrine Hop.” The RSVP deadline is Sunday, April 28th.
Participants should be mindful that the shrine hop will include substantial walking and getting on/off the charter bus multiple times.
